Digital postman: how to choose one in a few minutes.
From 1 January 2027 your e-invoices are delivered by a digital postman. You choose one on the Financial Administration portal in a few minutes. Find out how it works, how to choose Thweite as your postman and how to change it later.
Basics
What a digital postman is
It delivers e-invoices
It sends your invoices over the Peppol network and receives the ones your suppliers send you.
It reports the data to the Financial Administration
It passes the data from every invoice to the Financial Administration for you. You have no work with it.
You have one for receiving
Through it, e-invoices from all your suppliers reach you. For sending you can have several.
Before you start
What you will need
- A login to the Financial Administration portal
- Your company's correct DIČ (tax number)
- One of the e-mails you see in Thweite under Digital postman
You sign in to the portal through slovensko.sk or with a name and password. If your accountant acts for the company on the portal, they choose the postman. Send them the link from the Thweite settings and the e-mail they should give.
Steps
How to choose Thweite: four steps
-
1
Open a Thweite account and add your company
Check that the company has the right DIČ.
-
2
Open the Financial Administration portal
In Thweite open Settings → Overview → Digital postman and click "Choose Thweite on the FS portal". Sign in through slovensko.sk or with a name and password.

3
Choose Thweite and give an e-mail
Pick Thweite from the list of providers. As the e-mail, give one of those you see in Thweite under Digital postman. We use it to match the choice to your company.

We handle the rest
We register your company in the network, and in the settings you will see that receiving is on. Your address in the network is your Peppol ID: 0245 followed by your DIČ.

Questions and answers
What you ask when choosing a postman
Who can choose the postman for a company?
Whoever has access to the company on the Financial Administration portal: the managing director (konateľ), the sole trader, or for example an accountant with a power of attorney.
I have several companies. Do I choose a postman for each one?
Yes. Each company has its own DIČ, and so its own registration. In Thweite, though, you have them all under one account.
What if we gave a different e-mail on the portal?
In the Thweite settings, enter the verification code from the portal, or add a user with that e-mail as an owner.
How do I know receiving works?
In Thweite under Settings → Overview → Digital postman you will see that receiving is on, along with your Peppol ID.
By when must I choose a postman?
By 1 January 2027. The portal has been open since 3 June 2026, and your current choice stays valid after the obligation comes into effect.
This page is based on the wording of the VAT Act and the Financial Administration's interpretation in force at the time of the last update. For your company's specific situation, ask your accountant or tax adviser.
