eFaktúra 2027
eFaktúra for accountants: what changes from 2027.
From 1 January 2027 every one of your clients must receive e-invoices, and VAT payers send them as well. See what it changes in your work, how to choose a digital postman for your clients and how e-invoices get into your accounting software.
What changes
What eFaktúra changes in an accountant's work
No more retyping invoices
An e-invoice is a data file. You bring it into your accounting software without retyping and without errors.
Everyone needs a postman
Every client, non-VAT payers included. It is chosen for each company separately, by its DIČ.
The postman does the reporting
The postman passes the invoice data to the Financial Administration. Neither you nor your client has any work with it.
Clients
What to tell your clients
- Choose a digital postman
- Check their own DIČ, IČ DPH (VAT number) and address
- Verify their customers' and suppliers' details
- Hand each invoice to the postman within 15 days of delivery
- Keep e-invoices for 10 years in the original file
- Be able to receive, even as a non-VAT payer
The 15-day deadline for handing over applies to VAT payers who issue the invoice. Every business must receive, sole traders and civic associations included.
Steps
How to connect your clients: four steps
-
1
Set up your clients' companies under your account
Or your client invites you into their company. Companies and users are unlimited.
-
2
Choose the postman for your client
If you represent the client on the Financial Administration portal, choose Thweite. The client can also do it themselves.
-
3
Your clients' e-invoices are delivered to Thweite
Each one in the company it belongs to. You switch between clients without signing out.
-
4
Hand them over to your accounting software
As a file, or through Thweite Connector straight into the accounting software. One Connector serves all your clients.
The e-mail on the portal
Which e-mail to give on the Financial Administration portal
When you choose a postman, the portal asks for an e-mail. Give one of those you see in Thweite under Digital postman, and the choice is matched to the right company. Yours is there only if you are an owner of the company.
What it costs
One plan covers every company under your account.
Receiving e-invoices
Free for every client, with no limit.
Export and Thweite Connector
Export from the Start plan, the Connector from the Start plan at 9 € a month.
Questions and answers
What accountants ask
Who chooses the postman, me or my client?
Whoever acts for the company on the Financial Administration portal. The client themselves, or you if you represent them.
What if we gave a different e-mail on the portal?
In the company's settings in Thweite, enter the verification code from the portal, or add a user with that e-mail to the company as an owner.
My client already has another postman. Can that be changed?
Yes. On the portal they choose Thweite and ask their current postman for a migration code. Receiving moves over without a gap.
Will clients who are not VAT payers receive e-invoices too?
Yes, from suppliers who are VAT payers. That is why they need a postman too. In Thweite, receiving is free for them.
Do I need a separate Connector for each client?
No. One Connector serves every company you tick for it in Thweite. It picks the company in your accounting software by IČO.
This page is based on the wording of the VAT Act and the Financial Administration's interpretation in force at the time of the last update. For a client's specific situation, check the current wording of the law or ask a tax adviser.
