eFaktúra 2027
eFaktúra for non-VAT payers: no need to send, you must receive.
From 1 January 2027 your suppliers who are VAT payers will send their invoices only through the Peppol network. If you have not set up receiving e-invoices, the invoice will not reach you. Here is what the law requires of you and how to sort it out in a few minutes.
The law
What the law requires of a non-VAT payer
You need not issue e-invoices
You invoice your customers as you do today, on paper or as a PDF.
You must receive them
The VAT Act (§ 71(5)) requires it of every business, non-VAT payers included.
One digital postman is enough
Through it, e-invoices from all your suppliers reach you.
Why it concerns you
Do you pay any of these?
- Electricity, gas, water
- Phone and internet
- Hosting and domain
- Goods from a wholesaler
- Courier and transport
- Rent, accountant, servicing
Almost every one of them is a VAT payer. From 1 January 2027 they will therefore send you their invoice over the network, whether you are a VAT payer or not.
The risk
What happens if you do nothing
01
The invoice never reaches you
The supplier hands it to the network, but the network has nowhere to deliver it. According to the Financial Administration, the supplier has thereby met its obligation. So you bear the consequences of non-delivery.
02
You end up chasing invoices
The supplier can send it to you again by e-mail, but it must know about the non-delivery and be willing to send it again, for every single invoice. Without the invoice you have no document and cannot book the expense.
The solution
How to sort it out: four steps
-
1
Open a Thweite account
Receiving e-invoices is free, with no limit on the number of invoices.
-
2
Choose Thweite as your digital postman
On the Financial Administration portal, choose Thweite and give one of the e-mails you see in Thweite under Digital postman. We complete the network registration for you.
-
3
Check that your suppliers have your DIČ right
The network delivers by Peppol ID, made of the prefix 0245 and your DIČ (tax number). A wrong DIČ means an undelivered invoice.
-
4
Let your accountant in
Invite them as a user and they export the invoices into their accounting software.
What it costs
The Financial Administration itself says that for a few dozen invoices an account with a digital postman is enough. Thweite is exactly that digital postman.
Receiving e-invoices
Free and unlimited.
10-year retention and exports for your accountant
On plans from 9 € a month.
Questions and answers
What non-VAT payers ask
Is a PDF by e-mail from my supplier not enough?
From 1 January 2027 a VAT payer will send it to you over the network. It may send you a PDF as well, but it does not have to.
How do I read an e-invoice if it is a data file?
Thweite shows it as an ordinary invoice with its items and amounts. You can download the original file.
I have several companies. Do I need several accounts?
No. One account holds unlimited companies, and each has its own postman.
By when must I have it sorted?
By 1 January 2027. You can choose your postman now: the Financial Administration portal has been open since 3 June 2026, and your choice stays valid after the obligation comes into effect.
Can I change my postman later?
Yes, at any time on the Financial Administration portal. For receiving you can only ever have one.
This page is based on the wording of the VAT Act and the Financial Administration's interpretation in force at the time of the last update. For your company's specific situation, ask your accountant or tax adviser.
Promises aside — see it at work.
We won't claim to be changing the world, but it handles your company's paperwork brilliantly. We'll give you 30 days to see that for yourself. No commitment, nothing to pay up front.
